• With I hook and 100% cotton yarn – I use organic – chain 21 stitches.
• Row 1 skip first chain, *1 sc and 1 dc in next chain, skip next chain, repeat from * to last chain, sc in last chain, chain 1, turn. 21 stiches.
• Row 2 skip 1st sc *1 sc, 1 dc in next dc, skip next sc, repeat from * to last sc, sc in last sc, chain 1, turn. 21 stiches.
• Repeat Row 2 until about 8 inches or whatever size you would like the washcloth.

DO NOT FASTEN OFF

SC in each stitch around the entire washcloth putting 2 sc in each corner space. End by sl st to beg sc.
The next row, reverse sc in each sc, also known as the crab stitch, all the way around the washcloth. When you finish the last stitch, do not knot the end. Pull the tail all the way through. Weave in any ends. This will make for a cleaner edging.
