Local Artist Francine Girimonte Handmade Knitted and Crocheted Accessories to Appear at The 41st Monmouth Festival of the Arts

Tinton Falls: Local artist, Francine Girimonte will be featured at the The 41st Monmouth Festival of Arts (MFA) which takes place from Saturday evening on April 9th through Wednesday April 13th at the Monmouth Reform Temple on Hance Avenue in Tinton Falls. Her handmade knitted and crocheted accessories are made with the finest Italian merino wools, silks, and organic cottons. Each piece is designed by her or tweaked to create a new life. Francine is a VP of Human Resources for an investment real estate firm located in Woodbridge, NJ. Her spouse, Michael, is a two time lymphoma survivor, the latest episode being in the brain. She donates 15% of her profits to help find a cure for the blood cancers – leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

MFA is the longest continually running professionally designed, juried art show in the area supporting artists as well as arts education. It is the winner of a 2010 new Jersey Governor’s Award in Arts Education. Over 215 artists from all over the Northeast will display their art in a variety of mediums including jewelry, ceramics, sculptured art, oils, watercolor, pastels, mixed media and fine crafts.

Daily ticket prices are $8 for Adults, and discounted $5 for senior citizens and students. A Series Ticket (Sunday- Wednesday) can be purchased for $18. Festival hours are 12:00 pm -8:30 pm on Sunday, April 10th, 9:30 am to 8:30 pm on April 11th and 12th and 9:30 am to 5 pm on April 13th. Patrons attending the Opening Gala on Saturday evening, April 9th, will enjoy cocktails, hors d’œuvre and a first opportunity to purchase the most popular art. Tickets for the Gala are $65 at the door or $60 if purchased earlier.
