Product Information
Are you ready for summer! I certainly am! If I never saw snow again, it would be too soon! Stuck on ice this morning for 45 minutes! Thank God for the neighbors!
Started my next project! A beautiful evening clutch bag! My friend, who is more creative and a perfect knitter, gave me inspiration. She made one for her daughter and it came out gorgeous! So, I thought I would give it a whirl.
I’m using Karabella Glimmer yarn in Gold! Beautiful! Mine will be crocheted rather than knitted because this yarn crochets tight when using a small needle. I am using size “F” needle. You will need about 2 skeins from what I can see thus far. I chained 38 stitches and worked the pattern (all single crochets) over 37 stitches. The bag should be about 12 to 14 inches before making the flap. I think I will do a shell pattern for the flap. I am going to line it with gold satin and a gorgeous Swarovski crystal pin for decoration. I might also put a shoulder chain on the bag so you have the option of carrying it in your hand or wearing it on your shoulder. Don’t know if I will need something to stiffen the bag – probably a needlepoint canvas would do – but I will decide once the bag is finished.
Just a reminder about Monmouth Festival of the Arts. It starts April 9 and runs through April 13. I hope to see you there!
Also, I will be at Sickles Market for Artists’ Day February 19th and 20th in Little Silver from 11 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
I should be able to start creating my jewelry designs soon. We are hoping to be in our new home sometime mid February. Hopefully, things will be in order by then and we can finally start to lead a normal life once again!
I’ve designed so many pieces on paper, now I need to put them to the test!
